BIOGRAPHY

I am a versatile musican, being a singer and multi-instrumentalist across a variety of styles including Musical Theatre, Jazz, Swing, light classical. I took a keen interest in music from an early age taking part in many youth productions, orchestras and bands. I primarily plays the oboe and cor anglais, but also the saxophone and clarinet but my first love is singing.

I attained a BMus(Hons) from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. While studying, I performed & played for various organisations including the Welsh National Youth Opera and BBC National Chorus of Wales in productions of The Mikado, Chichester Psalms, Company & Oliver to name but a few. I have been lucky enough to perform with Principals from the Royal Opera House, including names such as Alfie Boe and for world renowned conductors such as Richard Hickox.

I have always loved a variety of music. Being an MD for my schools gospel choir, I found my love of arranging for female voices and jumped at the chance to do the same for The Sweet Serenades where I was one third of the swing trio, resident MD & arranger for many years.

I have been Musical Director for award winning Stage One Youth (Miss. Saigon, Grease), having played in the pit for their shows as well as waving the baton. I have been Assistant MD for Wycombe Swan Youth Projects since 2015 on productions including Legally Blonde, Footloose, Singin' in the Rain, Into the Woods & Guys & Dolls.

I play the oboe with Maidenhead Concert Band and perform regularly with them . I have played in the pit for many local shows, including Les Miserable, Miss. Saigon, Yeoman of the Guard, The Wizard of Oz to name a few.
